A few key items to keep in mind when calculating your shipping costs...

Rates consist of four key components:

  • Actual weight of the product
  • Dimensional weight of the product, which considers the package size
  • Origin and destination points
  • Service type selected

Maximum physical weight per piece must not exceed 150 pounds for domestic Ground & Select shipments. Maximum physical weight per piece must not exceed 70 pounds (US).

Please Note: If the actual weight of a package is less than the actual size (eg. a box of filled balloons), the dimensional weight is used in calculating the price. When calculating the “dimensional weight”, Falcon uses a minimum of 12.4 pounds per cubic foot (198.6 kilograms per cubic metre) for our Ground Service and 15 pounds per cubic foot (240 kilograms per cubic metre) for our Select Service.
